orla kenny - work

I'm from Hawkes Bay, Newfoundland. I'm 13 years old. I'm in grade 8. I love to shop and I love shoes. I have a brother named Ricky. I have a cat (Precious), 2 dogs (Dipstick and Bingo), and a hamster (Pellet).I have a bunny no too (bebe)! My favorite food is macaroni cheese and tomatoes. It will soon be 2 years that I have had my nose pierced. I got glasses. Purple ones too!! Purple was my favorite color, but now pink is! While Orla was here we visited the Interpretation Center and went on a tour to see all of the plants on the Limestone Barrens. We saw some rare plants that are only found here. We also saw Newfoundland's plant, the Pitcher Plant. We saw some fossils. I think the Limestone Barrens are important because some of the most rare plants are found here. We have to take care of them because if we destroy them they're gone. Some of these plants aren't found anywhere else in the world. I enjoyed my trip to the Limestone Barrens. I think this project will help people realize that the Limestone Barrens are more important than they think. I think they will watch what they are doing and where they are stepping. I think this project will make them more aware of how rare these plants are.

Dec.1/04 Yesterday, when Orla came, we went around taking pictures of different things in our school. This included architecture, food and beverages, and signs/grafitti. We took them with the Polariod camera and today we are scanning them so we can put them on the website. Today, we also monitored different palces in our school to find a place to put a webcam. We are now working on putting some of Amy's pictures on our page under the heading "OurSurroundings". In the next few months we will be taking pictues of our school, home, and community. Then, we will put them on the page for Orla to see.

hi my name is GrahamG. i live in Sligo. My favourate colour is blue.I also have a cat, her name is Fluffy.I dont own any other pets but i would like a dog instead.I like the names you gave your dogs. My class also went to a limestone region, it was called the Burren. We went to explore as well as find evidence of human activity. I dont like the fact that people would litter on or steal the limestone to make a profit.We are here in our school looking at some of the stuff we had collected.We have some leaves, sweet rappers and some building material which was carelessly left there by some ignourent people.you can look at my web page for more information.
